Fitness Class Descriptions

POWER PILATES STRENGTH:
A Pilates evolved power core class. Develop long lean muscles and a strong core.

STEP & STRENGTH CONDITIONING:
A high energy multi-level step class using weights, resistance tubing or body bars to build strength and stamina. This class concludes with toning – core strengthening and stretching.

INSTRUCTOR'S CHOICE:
A fun challenging class! The instructor chooses one or a combination of the following classes: Step, Stability Ball, Body Bar, Boot Camp, Interval Training, Pilates, Gliding, or Cardio Pilates. Great Cross-training so you don’t get bored with your workout.

TURBO KICK™:
A fun, fat-burning workout that combines kickboxing, sport drills, yoga, body sculpting, and simple dance moves and concludes with core training exercises and a meditative cool-down period. Any fitness level can participate and custom tailor their work-out. Based on layering and interval training techniques, Turbo Kick™ allows you to burn up to 800-1,000 calories.

STEP AND PUMP:
Interval step aerobics with strength intervals using a variety of training equipment including weights, body bars, and stability balls. Basic to intermediate building step patterns for increasing cardio-vascular endurance.

PA PUMP:
Strength is the name of the game!! Weigh training to challenge all major muscle groups utilizing step ups, presses, squats, lunges and curls to make your body look its best!! Instructor lead weight lifting set to motivational music to tone and transform your body. So let's get pumping!!

STABILITY BALL:
A total core-strengthening class. Working your core while strengthening all the other muscle groups will make this one of your favorite classes. You will become aware of stabilizing muscles you never knew you had!!! This class will find your abdominal muscle and work it to the limit.

YOGA:
Learn Yoga asana in the Iyengar style. With an emphasis on precise alignment and the use of Yoga props, you will be taught how to get into and out of the poses safely and accurately. Improve physical health while simultaneously teaching the mind to be calm and focused. Please bring a Yoga sticky mat to class, Yoga props such as blocks and straps are encouraged!

POSE-BY-POSE:
A half-hour class focusing only on two Yoga poses. The structure of the class is to focus on body awareness and alignment for proper execution. The poses for each week will be posted on the Fitness Information board.

PILATES:
A half hour class of traditional pilates building core strength and long lean muscles.
